Shares in miners JSW and NWR jump to their

highest levels in nearly three months thanks to rising coal

prices.

Polish JSW, European Union's top coking coal producer, is up

8 percent, while troubled NWR surges 19 percent. Both companies

had suffered from low prices earlier in the year, which made

their mines less profitable or even loss-making.

"These prices are on the rise for a few weeks, which helps

lift spirits around companies like JSW or NWR

," said Raiffeisen analyst Bartlomiej Kubicki.
