STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Bureau Veritas drops after results

Shares in Bureau Veritas (Paris: FR0006174348 - news) fall as much as 5.7 percent to a near four-month low after the French testing and inspection company posts lower-than-expected third-quarter results and says it does not expect a pick-up before 2014.

"Mediocre third-quarter organic growth. Management comments for the rest of 2013 are rather disappointing and will lead to downward revisions in estimates," a Paris-based trader says.

The shares are up 2.1 percent in 2013, underperforming a 19 percent rise in France's SBF 120 index over the same period.
