STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-UK small caps advance 0.3 percent
UK small caps are up 0.3 percent in morning dealings, while junior-listed AIM shares are up 0.5 percent, against a 0.3 percent rise for the blue chips.
Online fashion retailer ASOS (Other OTC: ASOMY - news) gains 3 percent ahead of its results next week on positive broker comments, with HSBC (LSE: HSBA.L - news) sharply raising its target price for the stock to 7,160 pence from 4,380 pence with an "overweight" rating.
Panmure Gordon reiterates its "buy" recommendation for ASOS and a target price of 5,950 pence, implying a potential rise of about 14 percent.
"We expect UK growth rates to moderate in FY 2014E and International to accelerate," Panmure writes in a note.
Brooks Macdonald, the AIM-listed wealth management group, gains 3.7 percent after saying that funds under management for the quarter ended September 30 rose more than 5 percent from the previous quarter.
