UK DMO says syndication of 2058 linker draws strong domestic demand
LONDON, Jan 28 (Reuters) - The syndicated sale of an ultra-long index-linked gilt drew strong demand from an overwhelmingly domestic investor base on Wednesday, Britain's Debt Management Office said.
The DMO also said it would increase the amount of money it seeks to raise via syndications for linkers this financial year by 1 billion pounds ($1.52 billion) to 10 billion pounds, following strong demand for the 2058 index-linked gilt .
Proceeds from the re-opening of the gilt, which achieved a record-low negative real yield of -0.8955 percent, are expected to be around 4.6 billion pounds, the DMO said.
