UK Rough gas storage site to begin withdrawals at 1300 GMT

Dec (Shanghai: 600875.SS - news) 9 (Reuters) - British utility Centrica (Frankfurt: A0DK6K - news) said on Friday that the first physical withdrawal of gas from the Rough natural gas storage facility would begin at 1300 GMT on Friday, bringing the start forward by two hours.

Earlier on Friday, Centrica said it would resume gas withdrawals from the site at 1500 GMT. Operations at the site had been restricted since last year due to safety checks.

"If there are insufficient nominations, re-commissioning flows will cease and resume during next week," Centrica added.
