Unilever says to keep Nigeria unit listed after share increases
LAGOS, June 15 (Reuters) - Unilever (NYSE: UL - news) said on Monday it plans to keep its Nigerian unit listed after it issued a 192.6 million euro ($216 million) offer to minority shareholders to increase its stake to up to 75 percent.
The household products maker, which already owns 50.1 percent of the Nigerian subsidiary, said it extended the offer to June 25 from June 10 owing to fuel shortages in Nigeria, which disrupted banking, telecom and aviation services.
