UPDATE 1-Murphy plans Milford Haven, Meraux work in Q1

TORONTO, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Murphy Oil (NYSE: MUR - news) said on Friday it was planning to do a full turnaround during the first quarter of 2010 at its 108,000 barrel per day refinery in Milford Haven in the UK.

Dory Stiles, a spokesman for the company, said Murphy expected the work to take about 60 days.

In the United States, Murphy has work planned on some main process units at its 110,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Meraux, Louisiana, during the first quarter of next year.

Included in the work are the crude distillation unit, the vacuum unit, the ROSE unit, which is used to process resid into feedstock, the platformer and the middle distillate hydrotreater. Work is expected to take 30 days.
