| | Reckitt Benckiser: cleanliness, health, sauces, and condiments Reckitt Benckiser originates from the 1999 merger between the English company Reckitt & Colman and the Dutch group Benckiser and groups together brands from a variety of different products. It is one of the global leaders in the manufacture and sales of household cleaning products. Its surface cleaning product range includes Harpic and Lysol, air fresheners Air Fresh and Air Wick, washing products Woolite, Vanish, Calgon, Calgonit, Finish, waxes Old English and O'Cedar, and even insecticides. As household cleanliness is somewhat related to the personal hygiene of a person, the group manufactures and distributes over-the-counter pharmaceutical products: anodyne, anti-septics (Dettol), cold and intestinal remedies (Gaviscon), depilatory cream (Veet), and denture care (Steradent). This catalogue of products was reinforced at the end of 2005 with the purchase of Boots Healthcare International and its products Stepsils, Nurofen, and Clearasil. Finally, Reckitt Benckiser is present in the food sector, more precisely sauces, chips (crisps), and mustards. The group sells its products in more than 180 countries and owns more than 60 premises in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. |
