Crew Member Airlifted From Replica Galleon in Medical Emergency

A member of the crew of the Galeon Andalucia, a replica of a 17th-century ship, was evacuated by the Galician Coast Guard off Oia, in Spain, after he became ill on Monday, May 6.

The galleon was sailing along the Spanish coast on its way to Ostende, in Belgium, when the medical emergency was reported. The man was rescued by a Galician Coast Guard helicopter. He was transferred to hospital in Vigo.
