First Dates Hotel paired up two people who already knew each other again

First Dates Hotel brought some more couples to sunny Italy in order to find love again tonight (March 24), but one hopeful rocked up to find... that his date lived just down the road!

Winston had been single for a few years after an engagement went south, and wanted to find a man who loved horses as much as he did.

He definitely found that with Ben, someone who he actually rents a horsebox from, which led to the absolutely filthy line: "My Big Willy had been in Ben's horsebox!" (Big Willy is Winston's horse, FYI).

The pair had also seen each other on a dating app, which Winston found a bit weird as he thought Ben was engaged, but Ben revealed that his friend put that on his Facebook profile as part of a massive prank.

Ben said he had been pretty much single for about 10 years, and that he found it easy to relax and open up since he already knew Winston.

Viewers joked that they would be so annoyed if the show matched them with someone they knew, and wondered if producers researched to see if Winston and Ben knew each other or not.

Either way, it worked out well in the end as the credits revealed the pair are still 'seeing each other'.

It's not the first time this has happened on First Dates, either. Duncan James from Blue knew his date previously, while two girls ditched the lads they were on dates with to go out with each other because they knew each other from before too.

First Dates Hotel airs Wednesday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
