Autodesk Investors Shouldn't Be Discouraged by Post-Earnings Volatility

Autodesk (NASDAQ: ADSK), a leader in software design for the architecture, engineering, and construction industry (AEC), reported its fourth-quarter and full-year earnings on Feb. 25. In fact, you should be as excited as ever for Autodesk's future. Since Autodesk is a subscription business with a lot of multi-year contracts, it has to recognize its revenue over the life of these agreements, even if it collects the majority of the revenue upfront.
