Why Credit Suisse Downgraded Symantec’s Rating

Why Credit Suisse Downgraded Symantec’s Rating

In late January 2018, Credit Suisse (CS) downgraded Symantec stock to “neutral” from “outperform,” which again impacted the stock. Citing Brad Zelnick, an analyst with Credit Suisse, MarketWatch wrote that the analyst sees a “meaningful risk of turbulence ahead” considering the high expectations for Symantec. Recently, Symantec has made several small and large acquisitions such as SkyCure, FireGlass, Blue Coat Systems, and LifeLock.
