It’s been a good year for female bankers with C-suite ambitions in Brazil -- the ones who work for foreign companies, that is. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. named Maria Silvia Bastos Marques chief executive officer for Brazil in February, the first woman to lead one of the firm’s local operations in Latin America. The same month, Credit Suisse Group AG nominated Ana Paula Pessoa to a seat on its global board, the first Brazilian to hold that post.
