LONDON, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Scottish police were called to the Grangemouth oil refinery on Thursday morning following a report of a fire at a petrochemical plant.
Ineos, the operator of the 200,000 barrel per day complex said an operational incident occurred within the ground flaring facility at the west jetty of the plant.
All personnel were safe, the operations have been "stabilised" and emergency services have been stood down, Ineos said in a statement to Reuters.
Earlier, the Falkirk police said on Twitter they had been called to Grangemouth following a "report of a fire at a petrochemical plant." (Reporting by Ahmad Ghaddar; editing by Jason Neely and David Evans)
