Every year, Apple releases a new lineup of iPhones that quickly become instant best sellers. During a keynote presentation on Oct. 13, 2020, the tech juggernaut announced plans to take a slightly different and more expansive approach: two separate launches for the iPhone 12 devices.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro began on Oct. 16, 2020, with the phones made widely available starting on Oct. 23. Now, on Nov. 6, exactly three weeks after the first round of pre-orders went live, the remaining two highly anticipated devices — the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone Mini — have been made available to the masses via a second and final pre-order system.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max boasts a 6.7-inch “Super Retina XDR” display. In terms of size, it stands as the largest iPhone ever released and comes in four colors: silver, graphite, gold and pacific blue.
Subsequently, the iPhone 12 Mini boasts a 5.4-inch “Super Retina XDR” display and stands as the smallest iPhone in the entire four-device lineup. The colors available for this device include black, white, Product Red, green and blue.
Setting it apart from the iPhone 11 and many of the iPhone’s earlier iterations, the iPhone 12 lineup of phones features flat edges, maintaining a nearly edge-to-edge display.
All iPhone 12 devices run on Apple’s new A14 bionic chip, which the company says guarantees 15 percent faster speeds and 30 percent more power efficiency than the A13 chip. Along with the other newly released iPhones, the iPhone 12 also supports mmWave and sub-6 5G connectivity in the U.S.
One of the most shocking tidbits about these new Apple launches is the fact that EarPods and charging adapters are no longer included in the iPhone’s box. (Shocking news, we know!)
