The richest people in Britain suffered their biggest fall in wealth in a decade in 2016, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.

Some professions are, however, more resilient than others — and the movie industry is notoriously "recession-proof."

That means that the UK's richest actors, producers, and TV moguls continue to see their wealth grow: J. K. Rowling was in the headlines last week after her status as a dollar billionaire reportedly returned.

She isn't worth quite as much on the Sunday Times Rich List, which was compiled in April — before she could count on the revenue streams from her sell-out theatre show and a Harry Potter spin-off film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, released earlier this month — but she still comes high up the list.
