There’s a great bunch of money-saving deals and discounts for you to grab this week, including 19p bags of vegetables, and an exclusive savings deal.

But don’t forget, a bargain is only a good deal if you were planning to splash out on it anyway.

19p vegetables at Lidl

After reducing the price of some its vegetables to 29p last week, Lidl has gone one further and reduced them again to just 19p a pack from Thursday 5 April.

The deal is available in stores and means packs of 1.5kg mini roast potatoes and 500g shallots will be reduced from 89p to 19p a pack – a saving of 75%.

Meanwhile packs of 500g parsnips -usually 58p – and 1kg carrots usually 45p- will also be available at 19p, while stocks last.

It’s an easy way to get the savings habit without trying and Yahoo Finance has negotiated an exclusive deal to give you a 1% interest on everything you save.

The account normally starts at 0% but increases by 1% up to 5% every time you get a friend to sign up.

You can download it from the App Store or Google Play and then use the code YAHOO1 to get your exclusive starter interest rate.

Have you got any unclaimed Premium Bond prizes? There are currently around 1.4 million unclaimed prizes worth more than £58million.

You might not have known about a win because you’ve moved and not told NS&I, or you’ve changed some of your other personal details, or the notification letter was lost.

The good news is that there’s no time limit on claiming.

For instance in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight alone, there are around 40,000 unclaimed prizes worth over £1.5 million, dating back to August 1963.

Find out more here where you can log in to view your prize history, or use a prize checker to see whether you have any unclaimed prizes.
