The 2020 Oscars were underway on Sunday night at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California.

The most watched red carpet of awards season always demands that the stars bring their best looks exuding glamour and elegance -- and this year had no shortage of that.

Regina King stunned in a pearl-pink asymmetrical gown by Versace paired with blinding jewels by Harry Winston and her hair swept back with a deep side part.

Fan-favorite Kelly Ripa also stole the show in a one-shoulder, black ball gown by Christian Siriano.

The television personality sparkled alongside husband Mark Consuelos who opted for a fitted navy suit and black bowtie.

Ripa stopped on the red carpet to talk to co-host Ryan Seacrest for E! News about who she was most excited to see this year, which happens to be Best Actress nominee for 'Judy' Renée Zellweger:

"I feel like she's really having a streak. And I like the fact that she's kinda like us in that she has her own life outside of show business. And so she goes and makes a movie, makes a lap of awards, and then vanishes again."
