The start of the year is prime job-hunting time. And perhaps it’s been something on your mind too? Are you thinking about making a change in your work-life? Maybe you want to ask for a promotion or a pay rise. Or you know, perhaps the pandemic has shifted your perspective and you want to quit Bridget Jones style and look for an entirely new career that suits the new version of you…

We know it can be stressful, like where do you even start? Well, one place you could look is the list of the best jobs in the UK which is compiled by Glassdoor. The site has published its annual review for 2022, giving an insight into the careers with highest job satisfaction ratings, according to employees.

The list is formulated by the anonymous employee review site and takes into account how much you could potentially earn in the role, based on a median annual base salary for the position, the job satisfaction rating from current employees and the number of job opportunities for that role available right now.

Is your job already on the list? Nice work, pat yourself on the back etc... If it's not, and you’re feeling like a change in direction, what’s the harm in finding out if any of these top careers suit you? Cloud engineer sounds fun, although sadly nothing to do with actual clouds, sob.

FYI, the word 'manager' comes up quite a lot, so if that doesn't apply to you just yet, do not fear, use the list as source of inspiration for the future you, instead. You’re welcome.
