In fact, the poverty rates were the lowest among those who held a bachelor’s degree in 2022. The poverty rate among those who did not work was almost 16 times higher than the rate for full-time, year-round workers. Finally, we ranked the 25 states with the highest poverty rates in the US in ascending order of their poverty rates.
