Sharjeel Usmani, who is known for making inflammatory statements against Hindus, has once again made a highly obnoxious comment.
The former student of Aligarh Muslim University used an unfortunate crime in Haryana to disparage Lord Ram and hurt Hindu sentiments.
"A Hindu chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ is most likely a terrorist," he wrote on Twitter.
After the outrage that his tweet caused, he deleted it, but instead of apologising for his act, he whipped out a justification.
The crime which he used to demean Hindus is a case of personal rivalry, according to Haryana police. A man called Asif was murdered during a clash between two groups in the state. The police has ruled out any communal angle to the crime.

Asif’s brother Rashid also didn't corroborate any such accusation. He mentioned the names of some of the accused, but didn't say that they were chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
An FIR has been registered against Usmani in Maharashtra's Jalna district for posting objectionable tweets.
The complainant, Ambadas Ambhore, who hails from Ambad in Jalna and works with the Hindu Jagran Manch, has alleged that Usmani used disrespectful words for Lord Ram in some of his recent posts on Twitter and hurt religious sentiments, he said.
Based on the complaint, the Ambad police registered a case against Usmani on Wednesday night under Indian Penal Code Section 295-A (malicious act outraging religious feelings) and provisions of the Information Technology Act, the official said.
The case will be transferred to the Jalna cyber department, he added.
