A2A completes 452-million-euro deal for Ardian's solar, wind portfolios

MILAN (Reuters) - Italian utility A2A completed the acquisition of wind and solar portfolios from investment fund Ardian in a deal worth 452 million euros ($483 million), the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

The wind and solar plants, which have a total installed capacity of 352 MW, are located in the Italian regions of Puglia, Sardinia, Campania and Lazio, and in Spain's Catalunya and Andalusia, A2A said.

A2A and Ardian tried last year to join forces in a 4.5 billion euro deal to set up a new green energy provider, but they interrupted talks in March, citing the energy market volatility spurred by the Ukraine crisis.
