Acacia Mining backs full-year production forecast

April 15 (Reuters) - Acacia Mining Plc on Monday said it was confident in delivering its production forecast for the full year despite a production issue in the first quarter due to issues at its North Mara mine in Tanzania.

The company, which is targeting total production of 500,000 ounces to 550,000 ounces, said it produced 104,899 ounces of gold in the first quarter - 13 percent lower than last year.

Acacia in March said an incident that caused an overspill at the North Mara mine was contained and the seepage was stopped. (Reporting by Pushkala Aripaka in Bengaluru; Editing by Bernard Orr)
