Paralympian Ade Adepitan announces birth of first child with wife Elle Exxe

Paralympian Ade Adepitan has become a father after his wife gave birth to a baby boy.

The 47-year-old TV presenter and his 30-year-old singer wife Elle Exxe – real name Linda Harrison – welcomed their son Bolla Harrison Adepitan on Monday 4 January.

Adepitan proudly tweeted: “I'm still buzzing!! Because at 6:36 am this morning I became a father for the first time. So much respect for my wife @ElleExxe she absolutely smashed it, and now we have a beautiful baby boy!”

The baby arrived eight days before his due date.

Adepitan revealed: “As most of us are in Tier 4 the most exciting thing I was expecting to happen this weekend was a trip to our local recycling plant. Then last night it all kicked off!

“This morning after going through hours in labour and handling it like an absolute legend! @elleexxe gave birth to our baby boy 8 days before his actual due date.

“Welcome to the world Bolla Harrison Adepitan the newest member of our @adepifam He's a little cutie.

“I'm still awe of my wife and so grateful to have such an amazing family.”

The couple married in August 2018.

Adepitan - who has co-presented the BBC's Children In Need appeal since 2016 - rose to fame as a wheelchair basketball player for the British Paralympic team, winning bronze at the 2004 Paralympic Games.

He began his presenting career on children’s channel CBBC and has appeared in EastEnders.

Adepitan contracted polio at the age of 15 months, which resulted in the loss of mobility in his left leg and his need for a wheelchair.
