It’s impossible to think Adidas could improve on the iconic Ultraboost sneaker, but the release of the Ultraboost 21 proves Three Stripes remain focused on improving the way we exercise and most importantly, putting our comfort first.

The main advancement in the flagship running shoe comes in the form of a reimagined Torsion System, which yields a 15% increase in forefoot bending stiffness for a more responsive stride. The midsole is also visibly thicker at the heel, packing 6% more Boost than last year's iteration to provide more energy return and comfort.

Adidas reinforces their commitment to sustainability with a Primeknit upper manufactured from 50% recycled Parley ocean plastic. The lightweight fabric is knit into a “more precise” pattern to allow more movement while also increasing support over time.

Those serious about running this year for leisure, marathon training or beginning a new fitness journey will all appreciate the benefits of the Ultraboost 21. Unlike other kicks that tend to wear down with use, these do the opposite. In fact, many early reviews of the trainers are 96% positive.

One male customer wrote: “These shoes are spectacular. They provide much better comfort and stability than even the Ultraboost 20, which says a lot. They are a bit heavier but at my age, I’m setting no records. Just pure enjoyment when outdoors.”

A satisfied female reviewer said: “I absolutely adore these shoes. Feels like running on clouds. They are spectacularly comfortable, stylish and total joy to run with. If the Boston Marathon happens on October this year, I’m running this iconic event wearing these beauties.”

Price at $160 a pair for men’s and women’s sizes, the Adidas Ultraboost 21 can be found at Adidas and Dick’s Sporting Goods. We linked models for both below.
