This affordable bathroom hack will make your home look more expensive, according to TikTok

Have you ever dreamed of having a spa-like bathroom? You know, the ones with the extra fluffy towels, the ultra-clean countertop, the good lighting and the smell of lavender and eucalyptus. It actually doesn’t take much effort. The main thing you need to do is reduce clutter, whether it’s stashing your toothbrush in the medicine cabinet or organizing your skin care products under the sink.

However, one overlooked part of the bathroom is always the shower or tub. Rather than mismatched bottles of shampoo and conditioner hanging in a caddy, you can put all of your products in matching bottles for a more streamlined look. Want to make it look super expensive? You can mount those bottles to the wall.

Wall-mounted soap bottles are one of those things that look expensive but don’t cost a lot, according to TikToker and interior designer Julie Sousa of @the_avantgarde. She shared a video of the bathroom hack that received over 4.7 million views on the platform. Nonetheless, the bottles and mounting kit cost about $40 on Amazon.

The MaisoNovo Drill-Free Shampoo Dispenser Set includes three bottles with coordinating mounts and uses a sticky adhesive to hold the bottles up. Yes, this is renter-friendly! The stickers are removable if you change your mind or move to a new home. However, they’re also incredibly strong.

As for the bottles, they have a glass-like thickness and come with waterproof labels. The set also comes with a funnel for quickly filling the bottles as needed.

The added benefit to using bottles like these is that you can usually save money by purchasing shampoo refills rather than new bottles every time. Brands like OUAI, Kiehl’s, Goop and Public Goods often sell these for less.

Keep in mind that more than 750 Amazon shoppers give the MaisoNovo Drill-Free Shampoo Dispenser Set 5 out of 5 stars.

“Stylish and sturdy,” wrote one Amazon reviewer. “This product was the most simple and sophisticated I could find to replace a shower caddy, and it looks great! The glue provided is holding strong, and even though I can’t tell how easy it will be to remove, other reviews say it can be peeled off with moderate effort.”

“Worth the buy,” wrote another. “The bottles are plastic, but they do look like amber glasses. The pumps work extremely well. They look very aesthetic!”

So, for less than $40, you can clean up the clutter in your shower and make it feel like an expensive spa. That’s a win-win.
