Go-Ahead targets overseas growth as domestic strikes hit profit
Sept 7 (Reuters) - Transport company Go-Ahead Group has set a target of generating 15 percent to 20 percent of its profit from outside the United Kingdom within five years, it said on Thursday.
The British company, which lowered its full-year profit forecast in February after strikes on Southern railways, said its operating profit fell to 150.6 million pounds ($196 million) for the year ended July 1 from 162.6 million pounds.
Go-Ahead said its results were in line with expectations. ($1 = 0.7670 pounds) (Reporting by Esha Vaish in Bengaluru; editing by David Clarke)
