Aldi employee celebrates major milestone working with supermarket in Swindon
An Aldi colleague in Swindon is celebrating a work anniversary after 20 years with the business.
Kate Beasant first joined the supermarket’s regional property team as a property assistant back in 2003, before later becoming a trading assistant at Swindon’s regional distribution centre (RDC) in 2011, supporting colleagues and hosting fundraisers.
She said: “The biggest change over the years has got to be the development of technology.
"When I first started, the majority of work was paper-based, but fast forward to today and the technology has come such a long way."
When asked what her favourite thing about working at Aldi was, Kate added: “I think everyone says this, but it’s definitely the people. A lot of my colleagues have also been at Aldi for a long time and, it has been amazing to have been on this journey together."

Aldi UK regional managing director John Richardson said: “We’re incredibly grateful to all of our colleagues and take great pride in celebrating their achievements.
“Colleagues like Kate have played a key part in our growth and success, and I would like to thank her for her contributions.
“Our colleagues allow us to connect with wider communities and continue to provide the high-quality service customers keep coming back for.”
