Valentine's day is fast approaching, and there's a lot to sort, flowers, gifts, dinner. But all we can think about is this heart-shaped oozey baked camembert and sharing bread combo from Aldi. We're just not so sure about the sharing part...
The rich and creamy camembert centre is surrounded by a hearty tear-and-share bread served toasty warm and costs a humble £2.99.
It's a perfect treat to enjoy on Valentine's day, and it isn't just for sharing with your other half, you can enjoy with family, housemates, or even keep it to yourself. You're getting into the spirit of St Valentine's day AND get to eat a pot of melted cheese. It's a win win.
Alex Hale, Good Housekeeping food specialist tried out the romantic offering and it sounds like it lived up to expectations.
Alex told us: "This attractive heart-shaped sharing bread from Aldi with a camembert centre is the perfect size for 2. The bread has a delicious caramelised red onion and herb flavour whilst the cheese is rich and creamy with a subtle but pleasant funkiness.
"The bread needed a touch longer in the oven in order to make it crunchy enough to dunk into the melted cheese so ensure you have a couple of spoons at hand to get your fair share of the cheese!"
Spoonfuls of cheese... sign us up.
And for any big kids out there, also making up part of the supermarket's Valentine's offering is the return of the iconic Chicken Love Nuggets (£1.99, 350g). Tasty 100% chicken breast nuggets, shaped into playful hearts. And this year they're gluten-free.
You could even dip the nuggets... in the cheese.
We've never looked forward to Valentine's Day more.
