Yahoo Finance Alex Rodriguez spotted with Ben Affleck's ex Lindsay Shookus
If you’re feeling just slightly confused over what’s going on in the whole Alex-Rodriguez-Jennifer-Lopez-Ben-Affleck saga, things are about to get a whole lot more complicated, since A Rod has reportedly been spotted with Affleck’s ex Lindsay Shookus.
The pair were seen hanging out at her birthday party over the weekend, in a video posted by another guest on Instagram. In the clip, Rodriguez and Shookus sit side by side as Josh Beckerman aka ‘The Foodie Magician’ performs magic tricks for the small group.
Although the video has caused a buzz among fans amid the pair’s exes, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reuniting in recent weeks, a representative for Rodriguez told Page Six, “There is absolutely zero there. They’ve been friends for 15 years.”
After calling time on their four year relationship and ending their two year engagement Rodriguez and Lopez confirmed their split in April of this year, issuing a joint statement explaining that they felt they were “better as friends.”
Just weeks later pictures emerged of Jen returning from a luxury skiing trip with former fiance Ben Affleck. Later pictures emerged of him leaving her house with quite the smirk and shortly after that the pair were filmed sharing a steamy PDA while out for dinner in Malibu together.
Affleck and Saturday Night Live producer Shookus dated on and off for several years from around 2017 to 2019, following his 2015 split with Jennifer Garner. They went public in July 2017, but called time on the relationship in 2019, with the long distance (he is based in LA and she in New York) and their busy schedules cited as the reason for the split.
While neither Lopez nor Affleck have spoken publicly about the recent reconciliation, that kiss seems like confirmation enough, doesn’t it?
