‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ competing for best new TikTok trend

A new trend constantly pops up on TikTok, and there is a new one in contention for the “trend of the week.”

If you’ve been up later than you were supposed to or looked up something embarrassing online, The Amazing World of Gumball perfectly captures that unfortunate moment.

The Amazing World of Gumball ran for six seasons on Cartoon Network from 2011-2019. The show focused on Gumball, the blue cat seen in the meme, and his adopted brother Darwin. The meme’s star, Banana Joe, is one of Gumball’s classmates.

TikTokers are taking a clip from the cartoon, in which Gumball walks in on Banana Joe watching suggestive content, and applying it to every scenario possible.

This is a simple meme to set up. All you have to do is put an image or video on the computer screen and add a caption.

Users have gone back in the time machine and re-lived the hilarious moments they were caught red-handed.

“I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE LOOKING UP THOSE KINDS OF TJINGS HAHHA,” said @sherrycolacoke under @emil.ym’s video.

The meme is still in its beginning stages, but people on the Internet love to tell on themselves, so expect to see many more versions of Banana Joe being caught red-handed.
