Yahoo Finance AMC Releases ‘Kevin Can F**k Himself’ Premiere Date and Trailer (TV News Roundup)
AMC announced that the first two episodes of the upcoming dark comedy “Kevin Can F**k Himself” will premiere on AMC Plus on June 13 and air on June 20 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
The remaining episodes will continue to debut on AMC Plus one week ahead of the AMC linear airings on Sundays at 9 p.m.

In the new series, “Schitt’s Creek” star Annie Murphy plays Allison McRoberts, a prototypical sitcom wife who wakes up and revolts against the injustices in her life. The series also stars Mary Hollis Inboden, Eric Petersen, Alex Bonifer, Brian Howe and Raymond Lee, and is executive produced by creator Valerie Armstrong, Rashida Jones, Will McCormack and showrunner Craig DiGregorio.

BET Plus will stream “Favorite Son” on May 6, Variety learned exclusively. Based on Tiffany L. Warren’s novel of the same name, the film follows a gospel group of brothers who struggle to find balance between life, love, faith and religion while living under the strict rule of their father, a megachurch reverend. The cast includes Jonathan McReynolds, Rotimi, Serayah, Roger Mitchell, Loren Lott, Lisa Arrindell, Anton Peeples, Keke Wyatt, Anthony Evans Jr., Walnette Santiago, Tamika Scott, Ace Tucker, Diana Lovell, Lorea Turner, Amy Hui and Robin Givens. (Givens also directs.) Eric Tomosunas, Ron Robinson and Keith Neal serve as executive producers for Swirl Films, while Devin Griffin and Maureen Guthman serve as executive producers for BET Plus, and Patricia Cuffie-Jones is the writer.
Lifetime announced its six-episode doc series “Cellmate Secrets” will air on Fridays at 10 p.m. starting on June 4 and be narrated by Angie Harmon. Following last year’s special, “Jodi Arias: Cellmate Secrets,” this series will revisit some of the most infamous stories of criminals as part of Lifetime’s Summer of Secrets line-up, including the high-profile case of Casey Anthony, who was acquitted for the murder of her daughter Caylee nearly a decade ago, as well as the stories of convicted killers Drew Peterson, Chris Watts, Susan Smith and Shayna Hubers. With Kim Clemons serving as showrunner, “Cellmate Secrets” is executive produced by Andy Streitfeld, Amy Winter, Brie Miranda Bryant, Nicole Vogel and Mioshi Hill. Brad Osborne is the creative director, Allison Willoughby serves as a producer and Amanda Metz is production manager.
Spectrum Originals announced that “The Bite” will debut on May 21 exclusively on-demand for Spectrum video subscribers. The six-episode series from creators Robert and Michelle King follows two neighbors navigating life in New York City when a deadly new strain of a virus arrives. Audra McDonald, Taylor Schilling and Steven Pasquale star alongside Will Swenson, Phillipa Soo and Leslie Uggams. “The Bite” is co-produced by Spectrum Originals and CBS Studios with the Kings’ production company King Size Productions. Liz Glotzer and Brooke Kennedy serve as executive producers.

DreamWorks Animation and Netflix released a trailer for the third season of “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous,” which will begin streaming on May 21. Inspired by the “Jurassic World” franchise, the animated series follows six teenagers who were chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Camp Cretaceous, a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. When dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, they must work together to survive. Stranded on the island, the campers will uncover more details of Dr. Wu’s secret research this season. After making a dangerous plan to leave Isla Nublar behind for good, a tropical storm delays their departure and a new lethal threat quickly closes in on the campers. The voice cast includes Paul-Mikél Williams, Jenna Ortega, Ryan Potter, Raini Rodriguez, Sean Giambrone, Kausar Mohammed, Jameela Jamil and Glen Powell. From DreamWorks Animation, Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, the series is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow and Frank Marshall, alongside showrunners Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley.

The Black List is partnering with the Natural Resources Defense Council’s (NRDC) Rewrite the Future program and The Redford Center to launch their first-ever Climate Storytelling Fellowship, which will encourage storytellers to reflect on the reality of the climate crisis and potential solutions. During a three-month revision period, each fellowship member will be granted $10,000 and be connected with an industry professional that will support their original feature screenplay or pilot script that helps change the climate narrative. At the end of the program, revised scripts will be placed on the Black List website and be reviewed for development by prominent studios, agencies and production companies. Fellowship members will retain all rights to their scripts. Starting today, writers can apply for the Fellowship Program on the Black List website. Applications close on July 21.
