Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh rewears her mother's Dior dress at premiere
Angelina Jolie is pushing for sustainability on the red carpet by giving her children a mixture of vintage and recycled pieces from her own coveted wardrobe to upcycle at events.
On Wednesday night (27 October), Jolie's 15-year-old daughter, Shiloh, reworked her mother's Dior dress as she attended the London premiere for Jolie's new film Eternals. The black and white piece was from the house's autumn/winter 2019-2020 collection, and previously worn by the Oscar winner at a global press conference for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil in Los Angeles.
Jolie and Shiloh were joined at the event by Maddox, 20, Zahara, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 13 (Pax, 17, was absent). The star herself looked chic in a custom Valentino Haute Couture shirt and skirt ensemble.
At the Eternals premiere in LA last week, Zahara was wearing the shimmering metallic Elie Saab gown that her mother originally wore to the 2014 Oscars. Meanwhile, Shiloh paid tribute to Jolie's stylish aesthetic by wearing a beige dress that Jolie had been seen in at the "Women for Bees" entrepreneurship program in France over the summer.
Fans have loved seeing Jolie's beautiful dresses being given a new lease of life by her daughters.
'My kids are all mixed with vintage, and in my old Oscars dress. We did all vintage and upcycled my old stuff,' Jolie had told Entertainment Tonight.
Last weekend, Jolie was accompanied by Shiloh and Zahara at the Rome screening of her Marvel movie, and she was looking goddess-like in a custom silver Versace gown.
While promoting the film, Jolie told Extra that her children have completely changed how she sees herself.
'I became a mother in my 20s,' she said. 'I remember something happened to Mad[dox] when he was little; it was an injury and I was terrified, and I heard myself say, "It's gonna be fine, it's gonna be fine, it's gonna be OK."
'I realised I had become the person that was always going to make everything OK, not the person that worries, that's dramatic, that's upset, that I have spent my whole life being in that darker space. It happens in a minute.'
