APEX awarded for "Hydrogen Innovation of the Year"

Rostock/Laage, 11.11.2021 – The APEX Group has received another prestigious award. At the tenth edition of the "German Renewables Award" of the Cluster Renewable Energies Hamburg (EEHH), the Mecklenburg-based company won in the category "Hydrogen Innovation of the Year".

A top-class jury with representatives from business, science and research awarded the hydrogen hub on the company premises in Rostock-Laage. According to the judges, this covers the entire range of hydrogen use in an "exemplary manner". The hydrogen hub in Rostock-Laage offers a complex infrastructure that reflects all technical aspects and economic framework conditions for the future development and operation of hydrogen energy solutions.

In close cooperation with research institutions such as the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis, APEX develops and implements compact energy storage systems and intelligent plant controls. The focus is on commercial hydrogen power plant solutions in order to make their contribution to the green energy supply of the future. The APEX Group is therefore "a pioneer in the realization of complex hydrogen infrastructures for industrial applications".

This year, for the tenth time, the EEHH cluster honors "personal and entrepreneurial commitment to renewable energies and the energy transition". According to the jury, the APEX Group narrowly prevailed over top-class competitors. In 2020, the APEX Group was awarded a special prize in the "Future" category as "Maker of the Year" under the patronage of Hamburg's Mayor Dr. Peter Tschentscher.
