Ariana Grande just rocked a classic secondary school hairstyle
Look back through pictures from your secondary school years and you’ll likely see a hair evolution.
For me, there were many stages, including hair that was coated in Garnier Fructis mousse for crunchy, wet-look curls (anybody else do this?), some serious crimping and even the thickest side fringe ever that acted like an eye patch.
But through it all, there was one hairstyle that I seemed to constantly go back to over the years: a ponytail or half-up hairdo that was only complete when I pulled out two strands of hair on either side of my face. And I’m sure it’s a hairstyle you did, too.
Like most great trends, these face-framing hairstyles have made a big comeback, with celebs rocking it everywhere from the red carpet to our Instagram feeds.
The latest celeb to give the hairstyle a go? Ariana Grande.
The singer rocked a half-up, half-down hairdo complete with two face-framing strands for The Voice finale, where Ari is a judge. For the top half of her hair, her go-to hairstylist Josh Liu combed it back super sleek for a super polished finish. Basically, she is serving.
To finish the look, Ariana wore a one-shoulder black dress complete with a diamanté hem. She also levelled up, literally, with some of the highest high heels I’ve ever seen.
Looks like we were ahead of our time with those hairstyles in secondary school, then. Now if those tooth comb headbands could make a comeback too, that would be great…
