Arsenal have confirmed that Gabriel Martinelli is ready to return against Newcastle United, while Kieran Tierney could also feature in tonight’s Premier League clash.

Gabriel Martinelli: The Gunners have confirmed that the forward has recovered from an injury to his right ankle, and is back in full training.

The Brazilian is available for selection against Newcastle, though Arteta may opt to start him on the bench with a view to bringing him on in the second half.

Kieran Tierney: The left-back has now recovered from a tight calf and has returned to training.

The Scotland international will face a fitness test before Monday's game, but it seems likely he will be cleared to start - a real boost to Arteta considering they badly missed his attacking threat against Crystal Palace.

Pablo Mari: The centre-back seems less likely to feature against the Magpies.

Arsenal say that he will "continue to rehabilitate in the coming days" from a mild calf strain, so it remains to be seen whether Arteta will risk aggravating the problem.

Arsenal players currently available in the squad to face Newcastle: Leno, Runarsson; Bellerin, Cedric, Chambers, Gabriel, Holding, Luiz, Mustafi, Mari, Tierney; Ceballos, Elneny, Maitland-Niles, Partey, Saka, Smith Rowe, Willock, Xhaka; Aubameyang, Balogun, Lacazette, Nelson, Nketiah, Pepe, Willian, Martinelli
