Yahoo Finance Asda's new Guinea Pig Cake is far too cute to eat
Guinea pig fans rejoice! You can finally get your hands on an adorable supermarket guinea pig cake, claiming its rightful spot on the shelves next to the caterpillars and sausage dogs.
Asda's Ginny the Guinea is instantly recognisable as the friendly, fluffy little creatures that have been stealing the nations hearts for decades as extra-cute pets. A firm favourite from the animal world, this baked version is sure to go down a treat with kids and adults alike.
Priced at £10 and serving 12, Ginny is a welcome guest at any birthday party. She's made with two layers of soft Madeira sponge, sandwiched with fruity raspberry jam, then covered in decorative frosting to create her little face and coat, and finished with sweet edible decorations including, of course, her party hat!
The supermarket shared a snap of Ginny on its shelves to Instagram, introducing shoppers to her, and writing in the caption: "Dressed for the occasion with her party hat and vegetarian friendly 🌱 Ginny is the cutest little party companion"
And the comments quickly filled up with those tagging their guinea pig loving friends!
