Follow all the action live as high-flying Aston Villa host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Boxing Day.

Dean Smith’s side have enjoyed a fantastic start to the season and sit nine points adrift of leaders Liverpool with two games in hand. The Villains made a perfect start in September, winning their first five games in succession to take a surprising lead at the top of the table and, despite a brief stutter last month, they remain imperiously confident after a comfortable 3-0 victory over West Brom last time out. Emiliano Martinez has kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper since making his move from Arsenal in the summer, while fellow new signings Ollie Watkins, Ross Barkley and Matty Cash have all instantly become mainstays in Smith’s new-look side, for whom a European place is now firmly within reach.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace sit in 13th after a poor run of just one victory in their last five games. Roy Hodgson’s side have shown plenty of promise, with new signing Eberechi Eze finding his feet alongside Wilfried Zaha, but a 7-0 hammering at the hands of Liverpool last week will have left the Eagles wounded. Villa ran out 2-0 winners when the two sides last met in July, with Trezeguet scoring both goals before Christan Benteke was sent off.
