BERLIN (Reuters) - Austria's Verbund AG said on Thursday it plans to appeal a court decision against a clause that allowed the energy company to increase its tariff from May last year.

Verbund said it would lodge its appeal in due course with Austria's Supreme Court of Justice.

"Our goal is still to obtain clear specifications for price changes from the legislator in order to ensure legal certainty for suppliers and end consumers alike," the company said in a statement emailed to Reuters.
