Nickelodeon has announced plans to create more content based on the world of The Legend of Korra and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

During ViacomCBS' Investor Day presentation on Wednesday (February 24), the US broadcaster explained that it was in the process of launching Avatarverse, a new division focused solely on developing new projects within the franchise.

It also revealed that an animated film is already in the works, and that original creators and executive producers Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko will act as co-chief creative officers, overseeing all titles going forward.
