Barclays customers still complaining of online banking issues after app goes down on payday

Barclays customers were left without access to their accounts on payday this week, after the bank’s app went down.

The lender said on Twitter that the issues had been resolved, however, on Friday morning customers were still complaining that they cannot see all their accounts on the app.

Customers said they were unable to use their mobile banking accounts to make bill payments on Thursday.

The Barclays mobile payment system Pingit also went down.

On Friday, Barclays users said they could not see their credit cards in the app, leaving them unable to pay their bills.

One Twitter user said Barclays “royally screwed me this month”.

Barclaycard said: “After the incident yesterday we’re still working to get your Barclaycard on the app. Please don’t worry though it will be back there soon.”

The credit card provider advised customers to try other apps, online banking or phone banking to make payments while the issue remains unresolved.
