Barclays mandates banks for U.S. dollar AT1 securities

HONG KONG, Aug 23 (IFR) - Barclays PLC (LSE: BARC.L - news) has mandated itself as sole bookrunner and structuring adviser for a U.S (Other OTC: UBGXF - news) . dollar Reg S Additional Tier 1 offering.

The joint (NasdaqCM: JYNT - news) lead managers will be Danske Bank (LSE: 0NVC.L - news) , Deutsche Bank (LSE: 0H7D.L - news) , ING, Morgan Stanley (Xetra: 885836 - news) , Santander Global Banking & Markets, Scotiabank, SMBC Nikko, Societe Generale (Swiss: 519928.SW - news) , UBS (LSE: 0QNR.L - news) and Wells Fargo (Hanover: NWT.HA - news) Securities.

The transaction is expected to be launched in the near future, subject to market conditions.
