A Basic-Fit N.V. (AMS:BFIT) insider increased their holdings by 1.6% last year

Insiders were net buyers of Basic-Fit N.V.'s (AMS:BFIT ) stock during the past year. That is, insiders bought more stock than they sold.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Basic-Fit

The Founder René Moos made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for €3.3m worth of shares at a price of €22.08 each. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of €38.10. Because it occurred at a lower valuation, it doesn't tell us much about whether insiders might find today's price attractive.

Most shareholders would be happy to see this sort of insider ownership, since it suggests that management incentives are well aligned with other shareholders.
