He completed his internship and residency through Washington University SOM/Barnes-Jewish Hospital, received his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and holds undergraduate degrees from Northwestern University and Harvard University.
In addition, Dr. Won is actively involved in the community, serving as a mentor, a board member of Irving Schools Foundation and a clinical assistant professor at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He holds leadership positions with a number of professional organizations, including a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, distinguished fellow of the American College of Surgeons, board member of the American Board of Surgery and co-founder of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Treasury.
