Behind the Scenes: Photos From Fortune’s 40 Under 40 Party

Every fall, Fortune releases its 40 Under 40 list, an annual ranking of the most influential business, media, and political leaders under 40 years old. And every fall, we toast them at a big party in San Francisco, where many of the honorees are based.
In years past, the festivities have been held at the headquarters of buzzy tech startups like GitHub and Airbnb. This year, on Oct. 13, the bash was at the headquarters of blogging software company Automattic, led by CEO Matt Mullenweg, who was No. 20 on this year’s 40 Under 40 list.
