Yahoo Finance Bernadette's first bridal collection is made for the modern bride
When it comes to choice in fashion, there has never been a better time to be a bride with countless designers now offering beautiful contemporary options for those who want something a little less traditional. And now, one of our favourite mid-range designer labels, Bernadette has joined in the action, launching a capsule bridal collection in collaboration with Matches Fashion.
The Belgian brand, which is known for its feminine silhouettes, use of high-quality silk fabrics and often bold prints, has teamed up with the luxury retailer on a six-piece collection of wedding dresses, which is inspired by the hero dresses in the main line.
The pure ivory designs feature elegant silhouettes, exaggerated taffeta bows, as well as gathering and draping, while there are mini and full-length gowns available, all of which exude a cool and timeless elegance that Bernadette has become so well known for. And, although there certainly are some more casual options available, some of the designs are perfect for the bride looking to make a real statement but for a fraction of the price that many more traditional wedding gowns are.
This is not the first contemporary brand to step into bridal with Matches Fashion, who launched a wedding edit early last year which featured first-time bridal collections from the likes of Christopher Kane and Molly Goddard, as well as pieces from Vivienne Westwood, Roland Mouret, Erdem and Emilia Wickstead.
Bernadette's collection of wedding dresses is available to shop now with prices ranging from £595 to £970.
