Cocktails in a can are having a moment.

Once only seen in the hands of certain gentlemen enjoying a leisurely afternoon in the park, cocktails in a can - or tinnies - have evolved into more complex offerings, fit for all sorts of events from summer festivals, picnics, camping trisp - even Christmas carolling. If you’re thirsty and you’re on the move, they’re the simplest, tastiest solution.

Brands big and small are catching onto this and every year we see a wave of new premixed canned concoctions. While it was once limited to the basics, you can now find just about any variety of spirit, wine, beer or cider in a ready-to-drink tinned form with flavour combinations that’ll make your heart sing. Then there’s the hard seltzers, a favourite in the US and fast becoming one here too - all exclusively offered in easy-to-carry canned form.

Tinnies are a world of their own with plenty of varieties to wrap your lips around, from fresh blends of botanicals and even low-sugar and slimline variations.

While they may not offer the pageantry of traditional mixology, you will be able to enjoy a precisely mixed tipple every time.
