Reusable bags have been the popular alternative to plastic carrier bags ever since the plastic bag tax came into play in the UK in 2015.

The law, which instructed retail companies to charge 5p or 10p for each plastic bag, resulted in an almost 90% drop in plastic bag use in 2017/18.

Reusable bags are ideal because they’re durable, versatile, can often be washed, and - more importantly - are more environmentally friendly.
