AN ISLE of Wight businesswoman has won a prestigious industry award within a year of starting up.
Accountants, book-keepers and the app industry have played a huge role in guiding their small business clients through the pandemic and supporting the wider economy.
The awards were held to celebrate that, and there were 17 trophies up for grabs.
Isle Book-keep was established by Sandown-based Lucy in April, 2021.
Over the past 12 months, Lucy has worked tirelessly to grow the business and support as many business owners across the UK with book-keeping and accountancy to help their businesses grow too.
Isle Book-keep has been a finalist in four awards within the last 12 months, with the spotlight on its environmental impact.
The business plants trees as it onboards clients and hits certain milestones (300 to date), as well as supporting clients to reduce the amount of printed paperwork. Her motto is "from paper-mess to paperless".
Lucy has appeared on expert accountancy panels throughout the year on YouTube.
She said: “To win a Xero award within just 12 months of starting my business is an absolute dream. We use Xero every single day for our clients and I am so excited for what the future has to bring for Isle Book-keep.”
