Best wedding jewellery: Necklaces, bracelets, earrings and tiaras

While The Dress is undoubtedly the star of any bride’s wedding ensemble, adding the right jewellery can really shift your look up a gear.

The finishing flourish, the icing on the proverbial cake; W-day jewels can be as bold or as understated as you like.

If you’re in need of inspiration, look, as ever, to the stars of screen and stage for inspiration. Ariana Grande sported elegant but minimal pearl and diamond gems in her recent nuptials (made by US jeweller Lorraine Schwartz), while Carrie Symonds wore a flower crown instead of a tiara or veil before becoming the latest Mrs Johnson.

Royal brides also make for marvellous muses: as the future Queen, Kate looked the picture of elegance in pear-shaped diamond earrings, their sparkle matching the Cartier Halo tiara balanced on her head.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle wore simple bridal jewellery to complement the elegance of her Givenchy gown when she wed Prince Harry on May 19, 2018. In the autumn of that year, Princess Eugenie opted for diamond and emerald earrings from her groom and the breathtaking Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara, on loan from her grandmother, the Queen.

For brides who don’t have a tiara stashed away in the family vault, we present our bridal jewellery edit. As well as traditional looks, you’ll find everything from pretty floral motifs, statement designs and classic gemstones that will stand the rest of time.

Scroll on and dive into our treasure trove of a guide, featuring the best pieces around.
